Statement

"Mijn werk is geinspireerd op de structuur van objecten om ons heen. Of het nu natuurlijk is of door de mens gemaakt, de onderliggende structuur van een object bepaalt het wezen van een object.
Het is een proces van onthulling; door het weghalen van de huid van een object ziet men de onderliggende structuur. Dit vertaalt zich in mijn sieraadkunst. Ik haal inspiratie uit alledaagse objecten van uiteenlopende soort. Zoals bijvoorbeeld een blad van een boom met zijn vele verschillende elementen is tegelijkertijd ook een van de simpelste vormen. In mijn sieraden overdrijf ik deze vormen, ze worden meer en meer geometrisch en regelmatig gedurende het ontwerpproces. Ik gebruik vele gevarieerde productie-technieken en combineer ze met  het traditionele sieraden maken. De technologische mogelijkheden stellen me in staat complexe geometrische vormen te maken terwijl ik met de technieken van gieten, steenzetten en afwerken mijn stempel kan drukken als maker. Elk sieraad is daardoor uniek."
